The importance of understanding neurodiversity in our clients with eating disorders.

One of the most beautiful moments of my career and there have been many, six amazingly brave people who are all neurodivergent and have, or have suffered from an eating disorder. The purpose of this video is simple: six neurodivergent people who have been misdiagnosed, who have been continually MISSED by the untrained eye. Whose neurodiversity went undetected. Whose recovery has been significantly impaired by professional errors and each and everyone of us working in mental health must stop this happening, if you are working with a neurodivergent client you need to work in a non descriptive and person centred way.

I have trained for many years and also work as a therapist, a clinical supervisor and a mentor in this field.
